Calgary
Calgary is the largest city in the province of Alberta, Canada, located at the confluence of the Bow and Elbow Rivers, at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. Founded in 1875 as Fort Calgary, it quickly developed thanks to the Canadian Pacific Railway and oil discoveries. Today, it is a hub for the oil and gas industry as well as a cultural and scientific center. Renowned for the Stampede rodeo and the Plus 15 skywalk system. The climate features cold winters and warm summers, with the Chinook wind capable of rapidly raising temperatures.
