Ouagadougou
Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, is a vibrant city in the centre of the country, home to around 2.5 million people. It was founded in the 15th century and has a rich history shaped by French colonisation. The city has a hot subequatorial climate, with a rainy season from May to October when temperatures reach 30 °C. In the dry season, from November to April, temperatures can climb to 45 °C, though the dry harmattan wind brings some relief. The international airport provides connections to Paris and across West Africa.
