Antalya
Antalya is a picturesque city in south-western Turkey, set on the Gulf of Antalya on the Mediterranean Sea. It stands in ancient Pamphylia, at the foot of the Taurus Mountains, and is the administrative centre of Antalya Province. In 2018 it had 1.2 million inhabitants and welcomed more than 11 million visitors. It is famous for the beautiful beaches of the Turkish Riviera, for Roman and Byzantine remains, and for its Mediterranean climate. It is best visited in spring and autumn, when temperatures are milder.
