Cagliari
Cagliari, the capital of Sardinia, is situated on the island's southern coast, overlooking the bay of the same name. Home to about 150,000 people, it is renowned for its rich history dating back to Phoenician times, having been under Roman, Pisan, and Aragonese rule. Cagliari is an important industrial hub with one of the largest ports in the Mediterranean. Its Mediterranean climate, with mild winters and hot summers, makes it an attractive travel destination. Spring and autumn are the ideal seasons to visit.
