Slovenia, located in Southern Europe on the Adriatic Sea, shares borders with Italy, Austria, Hungary, and Croatia. Its capital is Ljubljana. The country ranks among the most prosperous in Central and Eastern Europe. Predominantly mountainous, Slovenia’s highest peak is Mount Triglav (2,864 m).
