    Jamaica
    Jamaica is an island in the Caribbean Sea, south of Cuba and west of Haiti. It is the third largest island in the Caribbean, covering 10,991 km². Mountains dominate the landscape, with Blue Mountain Peak the highest at 2,256 m above sea level. The country is famous for its tropical vegetation, including the national flower, the lignum vitae, and the mahoe tree. The climate is tropical, with temperatures from 24 °C in winter to 30 °C in summer. Jamaica is best visited from December to April, when the weather is dry and pleasant.
