Cape Verde
Cape Verde, set in the central Atlantic Ocean 620 km off the coast of Africa, is an archipelago of 10 main islands. They are divided into the Leeward group, including Sal and Boa Vista, and the Windward group, including Santiago and Fogo. Around 401 thousand people live here. The landscape is mountainous, with Pico do Fogo (2829 m above sea level) as the highest peak. A dry tropical climate with temperatures of 22-27°C makes the islands a year-round destination. Tourism, agriculture and fishing are the main branches of the economy.
