Airport Vienna Schwechat

Rail

The City Airport Train (CAT) connects Vienna International Airport and the city center in 16 minutes. It runs continually throughout the day. To reach Wien-Mitte, Wien-Nord or Praterstern stations passengers can take the S-Bahn train. The travel time is 25 minutes.

Taxi stands are to be found right outside the terminal buildings. The airport is located very close to the city center but because of heavy traffic, the cab ride can take even up to 25 minutes.

To reach the airport from the city center, get on the A4 expressway. Drive time depends on traffic level; it might take approximately 25 minutes.

Driving from the southern and eastern parts of Vienna, you should follow the A23 road and then turn onto the A4 expressway. Now just look for the airport road signs.

To reach the airport from the southern and western parts of Vienna, take the S1 road and then continue along A4. The travel time is around 20 minutes.

Payment should be made before leaving the parking lot – at one of the vending machines or at the pay desk in multi-story car park 4. There is also a possibility to pay by credit card directly at the exit barriers.

Luggage – passengers are provided with luggage carts. Those who decided to check-in online or at one of the check-in machines have the possibility to use baggage drop off counters. A lost-and-found office is located at Terminal 1, level 0.

Customer service – there is a Medical Center at the airport as well as a mother-and-child room. Passengers can enjoy their time at one of the VIP lounges offered by several airlines and use the conference room.

Chapel – the airport prayer room is available for passengers of all religions at Terminal 3, level 2. The pastoral care is delivered Monday-Friday from 10 am to 1 pm. Christian church service is held on Sundays at 8 am.

Internet – free wi-fi internet is available throughout the airport. Passengers can also use specially equipped workspaces and internet kiosks.
