Westjet – baggage policy

However, customers have to prepare for the trip. They should prepare their baggage because each carrier has its own baggage policy. At Westjet, the size of checked baggage cannot exceed 157 cm and the baggage can’t weigh more than 23 kilograms. Passengers can also take hand-baggage. Hand baggage cannot exceed 53cm x 38cm x 23 cm. The carrier also allows you to take personal items on board. It can be, for example, a laptop or a purse. The size can’t exceed 41 cm x 33 cm x 15 cm. Like a charter with no leg room

I like the planes, however the computer was down when I tried to checkin -- so I went through the whole process only to be told to do it at the airport the next day. My seat was changed to sit next to my husband, when I had booked and selected a window seat (as the window seat was my priority). We had to wait about 45 minutes on the tarmac before we were allowed to take off. My suitcase didn't make it home. I opened up a claim upon my arrival (Sunday night) -- it is now Wednesday and I still haven't heard anything. Ironically a couple months ago my brother flew Westjet from Calgary to Orange County (CA) and they lost his bags on that flight too. All these things could have happened on any flight -- so I always keep that in mind.

Lost Luggage
Not sure if it was West Jet or BA but we were told our luggage would go all the way through from Calgary to Newcastle, however, they lost my husbands luggage and we didn't get it until Christmas Eve. Unacceptable.

My bag did not arrive at Saskatoon, which caused a little disruption. But it was sent by courier the next day, which was good service.
