Atlantic Airways

Atlantic Airways (IATA code: RC) is the Faroese national carrier based at Vágar Airport. The airline was founded in 1987 by the Faroese government and Cimber Air to connect the Faroe Islands with other parts of the world. Atlantic Airways serves scheduled non-stop fights throughout the year, several times a week from Bergen and Reykjavik. Flights from Copenhagen are operated all year round a few times a day. Seasonal routes include Barcelona - from April to October, Edinburgh - from March to December, Aalborg, and Billund - throughout summer, Palma de Mallorca - from June to August, Gran Canaria - from December to March.

Checked baggage allowance

By booking the Low fare, all travelers will be entitled to one piece of registered baggage up to 23kg, whereas it will be two bags for Flex and Flex+ passengers. Infants always get one 23kg checked bag. Extra baggage can be purchased at an additional cost of DKK 249 for items up to 23kg. If the item exceeds 23kg, it can be transported if it weighs more than 32kg. The excess baggage fee is DKK 199.
