What can be transported in cabin baggage?

You can pack a total of 1 litre of liquids in containers, tubes, cans, etc. max. 100 ml. each in your carry-on bag. They all must be in a transparent, 1-litre resealable bag. Food and liquid products for babies can be brought on board if placed in a transparent 1-litre resealable bag. The same applies to medication larger than 100 ml, however, remember to have a medical certificate confirming that you need the medicine.

Checked baggage allowance

By booking the Low fare, all travelers will be entitled to one piece of registered baggage up to 23kg, whereas it will be two bags for Flex and Flex+ passengers. Infants always get one 23kg checked bag. Extra baggage can be purchased at an additional cost of DKK 249 for items up to 23kg. If the item exceeds 23kg, it can be transported if it weighs more than 32kg. The excess baggage fee is DKK 199.

Atlantic Airways planes feature economy class cabins. However, the airline offers three types of fares passengers can choose from, including Low, Flex, and Flex+. Your baggage allowance, ticket changeability, ticket refundability as well as other benefits, such as lounge access, will depend on the fare purchased.

Atlantic Airways Low

The fare includes only cheap flight tickets, one carry-on bag up to 8 kg, no larger than 55 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm plus a smaller item and one checked bag up to 23kg.

Atlantic Airways Flex

Flex passengers get standard hand baggage and two items of registered baggage up to 23kg. In addition, they can avail of Copenhagen Express Fast Track, can change the flight date and destination free of charge, prebook seats for free and get a refund if they do not use the tickets (-DKK 500).

Atlantic Airways Flex+

Apart from all the above benefits, Flex+ fare customers get access to Aviator Lounge in Copenhagen Airport, plus the tickets are fully refundable.

It is recommended that airport check-in be performed up to 2 hours before the scheduled departure time. Self-check-in can be carried out using self-service kiosks available at Vágar Airport, Copenhagen Airport, Billund Airport, and Bergen Airport.

Vágar Airport is situated 1.9 km from Sørvágur, the village on the island of Vágar, and this is the only airport in the Faroe Islands.
