Baggage damage

One handle of my checked bag was completely torn off the bag. Had to go back to ticket counter to get assistance when I picked up the damaged bag. Attendant commented that wheels and handles are not usually covered when it came to damage. Took pictures and told me he would send them and the claim procedure to my email to resolve the issue. Never received the email.

Dallas to Chicago Flt NK 391 dt. 12 Sept 2023

We booked this flt. from London, UK and received confirmation email. On 12 Sept when we reached Dallas airport departure terminal E33, we were first told that this flight was cancelled! When we reported that we were not sent any notification of this apparent cancellation, we were then told that there is no direct flight by Spririt airlines at 1234 except only everyday at 0545am. And, we were asked to come next day (13 Sept.)! No apology, no overnight accomodation given. My wife Mrs. Shahida Husain was not feeling well and I had go back to the city and make my arrangements for hotel and lunch and dinner. Then early morning of 13th Sept., we came to the airport and found the o545 flt to Chicago is now at Gate D15. When we reported at the departing desk, our original was not honoured, we were charged $99/- each - a total of $198/- (I have the receipt) for the small carry on cabin bags! Any communication with the attending staff was hopelessly futile. They were rude and had no sympathy for the sufferings we underwent.
