Have flown with Arkia before: no frills and very professional. Only problem is Arkia website is in Hebrew. My checked in suitcase was badly damaged on my flight! Will appreciate your help in this matter! Pity for late take off!

Advertising misleading and dodgy mode of payment
A carry-on bag was not advertised as requiring a fee (€25 per bag up to 7 kg), which at least almost all other airlines indicate if that is the case. Also, once a fee was required at the bag drop-off counter, they would ONLY accept cash - we had to walk across the Munich airport just to get the money. This procedure smacks of something like a scam. For a 4-hour flight, no food of any sort was served. We will never fly Arkia can, and - as this was not an idiosyncratic experience of ourselves alone (many passengers in the queue with us had the same problem), we recommend that no one else book tickets with this airline.
