Gdańsk, situated on the Gulf of Gdańsk, is the largest city by area in Poland and the capital of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. Home to about 487,834 residents, it ranks as the sixth largest city in the country. Together with Gdynia and Sopot, it forms the Tricity.
