Skiathos
Skiathos is a Greek island in the western part of the Aegean Sea, part of the Northern Sporades archipelago. The capital, Skiathos Town, is situated on two hills with picturesque churches and a clock tower. The island is renowned for Koukounaries Beach, where the sand glistens due to microscopic mica particles. It is also home to the historic Evangelistria Monastery, where the Greek flag was designed in 1807. The best time to visit is summer, when temperatures reach 30 °C.
