Debrecen
Debrecen is the second largest city in Hungary, situated on the Great Hungarian Plain, close to the Romanian border. Home to over 200,000 residents, it serves as the capital of Hajdú-Bihar County. The city has twice served as the nation's capital in history. Renowned for its spa and a center connected by a tram line, it is surrounded by forests, including Hungary's first nature reserve, Debreceni Nagyerdő. Average summer temperatures range from 25 to 30 °C, while winters are mild. The best time to visit is spring and autumn.
