Islamabad
Islamabad, the capital of Pakistan since 1966, sits on the Pothohar Plateau in the north-east of the country. Designed by the Greek architect Konstantinos Doxiadis, the city is ringed by the Margalla Hills. It enjoys a mild climate, with temperatures ranging from -4°C in winter to 45°C in summer.
