Iași
Iași, located in northeastern Romania, is a key historical and cultural center of Moldavia. The city on the Bahlui River is home to about 309,000 people. Renowned for its beautiful churches, such as the Cathedral of Saint Parascheva, and its rich history dating back to the 14th century. Iași was the capital of the Principality of Moldavia and the United Principalities of Moldavia and Wallachia.
