South Korea
South Korea, officially known as the Republic of Korea, is located in East Asia on the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The country is largely mountainous, with the Taebaek Mountains stretching along the east and an alluvial plain bordering the Yellow Sea to the west. The highest peak is Hallasan, a volcanic mountain on Jeju Island. The monsoon climate brings hot summers and mild winters, with most rainfall occurring from June to September. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit, offering pleasant temperatures and stunning natural scenery.
